SPARKLES, ETHNIC INFLUENCES AND ROMANTICISM: TRENDS FOR WINTER-AUTUMN 2012- 2013

January 2012: Living in a global world with no barriers has created cosmopolitan trends inspired in the romanticism of the 50, 70 and 80. The coming trends for the season Autumn-Winter 2012-2013 meet the needs of a changing world full of social revolutions where people is looking for peaceful pleases and balance in their lives.


That is what Martha Calad, Inexmoda Fashion Lab Director, said during her last lecture at the Knowledge Pavilion Inexmoda- UPB. She started her speech with a brief explanation of the deep research process needed to finally get Inexmoda Fashion Trends Report, a document which brings together what is going on in the world fashion shows and the consumer needs.


The color pallet for the new season includes golden and silver among others metallic colors; yellow, red, blue and basic colors like white, black, gray dark blue and brown. The materials for the coming season are Wool, cotton and natural fibers. There will also be lace, animal print and foliage print. The fabrics the industry will use are light and functional allowing the layer upon layer effect, transparency and Knitting.


About the lingerie the trends are inspired in the sensuality and the romanticism using lace and light fabric to make delicate clothing like corsets. There will also be animal print and a mixture of colors and designs from the Golden ages. The body shirt returns this season in a simple and minimalistic design which brings comfort and sensuality to women.


The must have for the season Autumn-Winter 2012-2013 includes among others maxi dresses, biker jackets, wide sweaters and coats and shirts with volume necks. The accessories will be a mixture between ethnic and futuristic designs, standing out belts and platform shoes.
