Menswear shone in the inaugural Colombiamoda 2012 runway

• From today until July 26 will be held Colombiamoda 2012, Colombia´s fashion week.
• The tradeshow, as every year, will be focus in three thematics: Runway´s trends with recognized international and national designers, Comercial exhibition and Knowledge Pavillion.
• As a recognition of her professional work, Colombiamoda 2012, invited the Colombian designer Lina Cantillo, to present the inaugural runway with a vibrant collection belonging to the male universe. Autogermana – Mini by Lina Cantillo runway took place on Monday, July 23 in Plaza Mayor.

Medellín, July, 2012 – During her entire professional career, the renowned barranquillera designer has contributed to the evolution and projection of menswear in the country. Lina Cantillo dress up a man who looks for options in clothing and textiles that fits in a lifestyle where sophistication and good taste, are the protagonists. For this man, the designer has built a concept that today it is identified in all fashion centers in Colombia.

Her inspiration, based on the most important moments in which man is the protagonist, accompany in a perfect way, textiles innovations, mixtures and prints that helps to manufacture items for her collections.

Advanced for the time. Lina has created a culture of meeting and trends, where fashion and men are and will be the major axes. From there, she has designed collections that show a particular, well defined and consistent style that tries to offer to the men, clothes full of versatility, comfort and distinction.

Autogermana – MINI by Lina Cantillo, took place yesterday at 9:30 p.m in Convention and exhibitions Center, Plaza Mayor. Showing a man full of sensibility and melancholy, the barranquillera showed her intimate side. Jackets with irregular cuts perfectly manufactured, pants with narrow boots, cool shirts, hindu prints among others transmitted an unique man with a defined character and free of identity made by Lina.

Portraits, is a window to the past in where memories, situations and important persons in the designer´s life take place to make the portraits of Lina Cantillo´s generations.

Sophisticated sets of textures, linens, swiss cottons, silks and fabrics specially brought from India to the designer, together with a color palette that makes a journey from the ochre, blue and creamy, to small green accents alluding to the colors and smells of nature, make up a story of nostalgia.
Tuesday, July 24 Runways

First day Tradeshow runways will begin with Haceb by Leal Daccaret at 12 m. who are going to present a fashion fusion, art and technology. Afterwards it will be Infashion – Blancox by Andrea Castro, La Casa de Greta y Darío Cárdenas. Fundación Universitary del Área Andina shine with his collection inspired in the Fashion System, based in thematics like the role of women in the western world since Century XX. Runways will be full of diversity, for that reason at 4:30 will arrive OffCorss specialized in children fashion, then will be Leonisa – Carrusel with a influenced young spirit, that not depends with age, up with the attitude that is put to life.

With a collection inspired in two trends Antik and Militar, Studio F will impact. Later Pilsen by DIVINO with designer Daniel Hoyos, nominated in several times as a Revelation Designer by Cromos Magazine. Isabel Henao, one of the most influents latinoamerican designers, will present Cy, inspirated in the northamerican artist Cy Towmbly. For close this runways nights Tennis will show their fashion as Eropean, London, New York style in a runway with 2.200 guests.
