Isabel Henao Cy. Spring between colors and romance

- From 11 years ago the talented Colombian designer Isabel Henao has traveled Colombiamoda runways, -Colombia´s Fashion Week - leaving and indelible mark of creativity, sensitivity and love for art and life in the heart of the audience.
- Isabel Henao began in the world of fashion when she was just 21 years old, after graduating with honors from the master in fashion design of the Istituto Marangony in Milan, Italy.
- For Colombiamoda 2012, the designer will present on the runway an explosion of colors, shapes and textures that express the duality of the faint and aggressive in a delicate balance.
Medellin, July 2012 – Isabel Henao is a sensible woman. And it is precisely its sensitivity, her love for the detail and delicacy with which deals with her creations, which has led her to stand out within the scope of the national and international fashion. From the first collection in 2002, her strong design personality and her constant exploration into materials and silhouettes, have ranked her as one of the most influents designers in the new latinamerican fashion.
Her creations have been winners by the press in events such Milan and Madrid Fashion Week, and Colombiamoda, recognition that led her to share stages with biggest designers as Carolina Herrera and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.
Finishing the first day of Colombiamoda 2012, the Colombian designer will present her collection Spring/summer 2013 leaving and indelible mark on the scenario with the most genuine of her essence and their creative spirit. Art and nature fan, Isabel Henao seeks always impregnate with an artistic sensibility her work with a delicate harmony of lines, colors and manual work. Textil research and organic shapes are her hallmark. And her client, a woman that runs away from the excess but loves special things.
Her fashion vision has also expanded to other areas, creating in 2008 the new Taca Airlines uniforms and accompanying companies as the Sociedad Portuaria de Cartagena and Postobon in her corporative projects.
Her costumers are personalities of national life as President´s wife, María Clemencia de Santos, who continuously wear her designs.
Cy. Spring/summer 2013
CY, Spring/Summer 2013 the work of the American artist Cy Twombly, is the starting point for the designer in her collection spring/summer 2013.
Recently deceased, Twombly created a connection between romance and abstract, influenced by mythological stories, haikus and a close relationship between drawing, calligraphy and painting.
Strokes of graphite and peony buds bloom thought lines and explosions of colors in strong constant, defining the meaning of the collection in the middle of a delicate balance between faint and aggressive.
Materials which evoke the volatility of the flowers and their soft structures, as chiffon, georgette and silk are the drivers of the history through fabrics and fresh silhouettes.
Gray scales and soft colors in contrast with red, oranges, purple, yellow and blue make up the history of color, represented in details of textile and prints; details that will also reflected in the models makeup, designed by the artist Alex Ospina.
